Community Involvement
Schang Internet recognizes the importance of giving back to the community in which we live and work. As a result, Schang Internet actively particpates in several community involvement activities on a regular basis.
Special Olympics Florida (SOFL) has worked to improve the lives of thousands of Florida athletes through its  year-round sports training and competition; however, the movement has only reached five percent of the more than 300,000 people with developmental disabilities here in Florida. Special Olympics does not charge its athletes to train and compete in its activities; therefore, it becomes a challenge to provide every person with developmental disabilities the opportunity to participate and benefit from Special Olympics sports training and athletic competitions. Schang Internet provides financial support to this very worthwhile orgnaization.
United Way of America (Escambia County Chapter) - As the nation's leading community solutions provider, United Way invests in  and activates the resources to make the greatest possible impact in communities across America. The United Way movement includes approximately 1,400 community-based United Way organizations. Each is independent, separately incorporated, and governed by local volunteers. United Ways bring communities together to focus on the most important needs in the community -- building partnerships, forging consensus and leveraging resources to make a measurable difference. Schang Internet contributes to the United Way fund raising by making a financial contribution.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America (Northwest Florida Chapter) - The long-term mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to serve one million children by the year 2010. Today, Big Brothers Big  Sisters serves over 200,000 children, ages 6 through 18, in 5,000 communities across all 50 states. Big Brothers Big Sisters one-to-one mentoring makes a huge difference for the youth it serves. Research consistently demonstrates that Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring helps at-risk youth overcome the many challenges they face. Schang Internet is a proud supporter of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northwest Florida. Schang Internet was a "Big Lane" sponsor for the 2003 "Bowl for Kids Sake" with a $250 financial contribution. Schang Internet also serves on the "Friends of BBBS" support group.
